Squash Club Housekeeping and Other Matters

Dear All

Hope you are all well and looking forward to regaining those fitness levels after gorging on the mince pies.

As we enter 2022, a few general housekeeping points to bear in mind.

1. Squash Club Lights and Windows

There have been recent incidents where the changing room and viewing gallery lights have been left switched on. The windows in the viewing gallery have also been left open, as has the window in the gents’ shower. All of these issues are resulting in higher costs for the Club, which we can ill-afford at any time.

Please could you make a conscious effort to double-check all lights and windows before you leave the Club and help us to minimise our lighting and heating bills.

2. Squash Club Roof Repairs

Roofing contractors are scheduled to carry out some repairs towards the end of week commencing 10th January. They will be erecting some scaffolding around the front of the building. Please take care when parking your cars during this period. Hopefully, these works will only take two days to complete.

3. Squash Club Branded Sports Shirts

There are some new squash shirts available to purchase, now in black and red. If you are interested in buying one, please contact Alan Butler on for further details.

4. Winter League

The 4th period of this league is due to start on Monday 17th January. If you have entered this competition but no longer wish to play, please could you send John Carrington a message on either or 07598 404958 before Sunday 16th January. This also applies if you have missed the last period through illness or injury - please advise if you want to return to the league.

Please continue to follow the risk assessment guidelines that are displayed on the Squash Club notice board.

Many Thanks

The Cornhill Squash Club Committee
