Cornhill Squash Racquet Restringing Service

To All Members

David Millard has kindly offered to continue the racquet restringing service that he has been running for Cornhill members since 2023. Many of you have already used this professional and convenient service.

To avoid the risk of the racquet restringing getting lost in other Club communications, we have agreed to set up a separate WhatsApp group, named "Cornhill Restringing". All members at Cornhill can join this group if they wish to use this really useful service.

This is how it works:

* Sign up to join the "Cornhill Restringing" WhatsApp group by responding to this communication. You can join this group at anytime simply by contacting John Carrington.

* When you have a racquet that requires restringing, purely send David a message via this new WhatsApp group - please don't use the Cornhill Social WhatsApp group as we are keen to keep the restringing service completely separate.

* Leave your damaged racquet, tagged with your name, in the gents' changing room.

* David will contact you to confirm string type/weight that you require. The restringing will typically take between 7 and 10 days to be completed. If you have any specific requirements or queries, please contact David directly on 07824 884155.

* David will return the repaired racquet to the gents' changing room and advise you that it is there for your collection.

* The standard cost is currently £23, of which £3 will go towards RoofAID, our Club fund that has been set up specifically to eventually repair the court roof. David will advise you of his bank account details and payments will be by bank transfer.

To date, David has managed to raise over £100 for RoofAID through this restringing service which is a great help in our challenge to raise c.£20,000. The overall RoofAID fund currently stands at c.£1,600 and is sitting in a new interest-bearing building society account that is separate from our standard day to day Club accounts.

So, if you're interested in this service, just respond to this message by return and I'll add you to the Restringing group.

Many thanks

Regards
John Carrington
