AGM notice & membership renewal arrangements

Hi All,

Please note that the club AGM will be held at the clubhouse on Sunday 13th September 2020 at 11am. The agenda is attached. On the same date, you can also renew your membership and exchange your key to the court for the new season - see details below

Please note the following times when you can renew your membership and exchange your keys:
• Sunday 13th September from 09:00 – 12:00) when the AGM will be held (at 11:00), locks will be changed, the court closed for a general tidy-up by the committee (& anyone that wants to lend a hand!)
• Tuesday 15th September from 18:00 – 20.00 when the court will be booked out for anyone that wants to join in with a round-robin knock

If you can't make either of the times above, please contact Simon Langley, James Fenton or Simon Heath to make alternative arrangements.

It is not yet clear when CoVid guidelines will allow us to restart Club competitions, but we will shortly be communicating details of "squash bubbles" which will allow a full game of squash to be played with a restricted group of players.

However, if for whatever reason, you are not intending to renew this year, please could you send me an email so that we can remove you from our lists and email circulation. We would be grateful if you would also return your door key ASAP by popping it into an envelope & pushing it through the club letterbox.

Please do remember to bring with you:
1. a completed renewal form (attached) making it clear which competitions you wish to enter;
2. your old key (note that members will be charged an additional £5 if the old key is not returned);
3. a cheque (payable to Cornhill Squash Club) or cash or evidence that you’ve paid by electronic transfer.

Electronic payment details
Bank: Santander
Account name: Cornhill Squash Club
Sort code: 09 01 54
Account number: 43371806

Please note that, for 2020 – 21 the lights and court booking fees will remain the same while the annual full membership subscription, having remained the same for at least the last 4 years, has increased from £55 to £60. The additional obligatory charge of £10 for all categories of member remains; this will be credited to your MyCourts account to help you start the new season.

Finally, we appreciate that, as a result of the CoVid pandemic, some individuals may have suffered or be suffering from reduced income. Therefore, we have introduced an option, for this year only, for affected members to pay a reduced subscription of £30.

Thanks,

Simon Heath
Secretary
On behalf of the Cornhill Squash Club Committee
