Squash Club Winter League Details 2021-22

Dear All

Thank you for entering the Cornhill Winter League for 2021-22. Thirty members have entered this year, including four who haven't previously played in any of the Club's competitions - welcome on board!

The league commences on Monday 4th October and will run through to 1st May 2022 in six periods of five weeks. Details of these dates can be found on one of the attachments to this communication.

There are five divisions with six players in each. Promotion and relegation will apply at the end of each period. The winner of each division in each session will receive a brand new squash ball for their efforts. The divisions are now visible on MyCourts so you can see who your opponents are for the first period.

We will playing under the PAR 15 rules this season, whereby each match will be the best of five sets, with each set being the first to 15 points, scoring off either serve or return. Full details of the scoring mechanism and the other relevant rules are shown on another of the attachments that will also be displayed on the Club noticeboard.

Given that we have a number of new league players, please could the other members help them with the protocols during the first few weeks.

Finally, we are keen that as many matches as possible are played during the season so please strive to book your fair share of games with your opponents. The MyCourts system is very easy to use, so no excuses!

Good luck to you all and get booking!

Regards
John Carrington
